What is Pokémon Go?
Developped by Niantic, a company from Google already at the origin ofIngress, Pokémon Go is a new augmented reality game in which the mobile user becomes a trainer and is invited to capture virtual Pokémon directly in the real world.
Pokémon Go on Android, how does it work?
Once the player is logged in with their Google account, they can go hunting. Whether the trainer is wandering the streets on purpose or living their usual life, their smartphone will vibrate when a Pokémon is nearby and close enough.
From then on he will have to draw his device and aim at the Pokémon in order to throw a Pokéball at him; small red and white ball emblematic of Japanese anime, allowing you to catch a Pokémon.
The goal of the game is of course to catch them all, as the credits of the cartoon derived from the first video game chants it (Pokemon, gotta catch ’em all).
What else can you do in Pokémon Go?
In addition to the Pokémons, geolocated on a simplified map, many points of interest litter the virtual world of Pokémon Go. It will thus be possible to recover objects and in particular new Pokéballs allowing you to catch different Pokémon.
Arenas are also arranged on the map Pokémon Go, these allowing to carry out confrontations. An action that will of course only be possible once the community has developed sufficiently, like the exchanges of Pokémon.
Finally, it is possible to customize its appearance by changing the clothes and accessories of the trainer.
Particularly popular in the United States, Pokemon Go has been able to set up challenges allowing the trainer to evolve as he captures new Pokémon, for example by unlocking Superballs.
How to install Pokémon Go on Android?
- In order to install the .APK file of Pokémon Go, download it directly from your smartphone or download it to your computer and then transfer it to your internal or external smartphone storage.
- Then authorize (or upstream) the installation of applications that do not come from the Google Play Store application store: Settings> Security> Unknown sources (Allow installation of apps from unknown sources)
- Note that installing .APK files does not always work from the app or the “Downloads” notification. You will therefore need to go through a file explorer (such as Explorer) in order to be able to perform this installation.
